Cardiff scenes, plein-air paintings or studio based.

These were started as a refreshing change from my usual habit of detailed, realistic images, where the paint is slave to what it describes. With these I wanted to enjoy the oil paint more and it has a role of it's own in these terms.

These are meant to be more an impression of the scene or at least a more enjoyable, looser expression of it and my experience of it - especially in the case of the plein-air paintings.
