The Art Nude as Oil painting and Drawing in the Classic manner has always attracted me. Oil painting, for me, is the ultimate medium for the expression of the
subtleties of the female form in the Art Nude.

A drawing done with conté pencil can be amazingly sensitive, which is what has drawn me to Old Masters in the past, such as Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, William Bouguereau, John W. Waterhouse, Titan, Ingres, Herbert, James Draper, Degas, and Renoir. A delicate touch is very appropriate to the art nude and I enjoy this discipline in a World which tends to encourage brute force rather than gentleness. Oil painting can accomodate both impulses for me, through my Abstracts and Nudes.

I believe in sensual poses which are about beauty, form, light and feminity. It`s about a female state of mind and I hope I have some insight into this, despite my gender disadvantage.
